Sometimes we just want someone to understanding what we're going through, and other times we want to learn new tools and develop new habits. Either way, I try to help my clients feel understood and not judged and to help them manage stress, heal from difficult experiences, and feel better.
I've helped clients with a wide array of issues, but some of the most common ones include depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic stress, and addictive behaviors. I also draw upon my research experience of young adults' loneliness and personal experiences with chronic pain and navigating spiritual beliefs to provide deep empathy to those experiencing similar challenges. I intentionally maintain a small caseload to provide highly personalized care for each client.
I integrate principles and practices from several therapy models and adapt my approach to each client. Here are a few examples:
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy: I help clients conceptualize their internal experiences as parts of themselves. Together we learn to attune to these parts, understand their needs, and bring compassion to them.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): I help clients identify core beliefs that may contribute to their difficult emotions or unwanted patterns of behavior. Together we learn to internalize core beliefs that serve us, rather than harm us.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): I help clients accept their internal experiences, practice mindfulness, and align with their values. Together we learn how to live with inner peace.
I provide virtual sessions to people living in Utah. If you have questions, feel free to reach out. I offer free 15-minute consultations to help us see if we'd be a good fit.
